The inspection procedure is designed to confirm both the identity of the vehicle and the quality of repairs carried out. Any vehicle that passes the inspection will be thoroughly roadworthy and within five working days the vehicle will be removed from the HPI condition alert register, you will receive a full written report of the vehicle and a Certificate of Conformity. The test briefly comprises:
- Visual inspection of all repairs
- Front and rear seat belts
- General appearance
- Underside inspection including suspension, chassis panel fit and floor
- Welding techniques
- Testing of full 4 wheel alignment
- Braking system including ABS
- All MOT criteria
- All electrical ancillaries
- Road Test

If your vehicle is NOT recorded on the HPI register we now offer a mobile inspection service for customers looking for Pre-purchase inspections, or Post Accident repair inspections.
Ranging from £115 to £200, our mobile inspections for cars (not on the HPI register) are a must have service when buying a new car or repairing a car that has been damaged. It means you will be able to buy with confidence. You will receive a written report of the vehicle; the experienced and qualified engineer will highlight any faults which could cost you in the future.
